Katy Takaoka

As a wee lass living in Scotland, Katy didn’t play house – she played business. Specifically, she pretended to run “The Agency for Anything,” a business that helped other businesses. Fast forward to 2011, and her entrepreneurial dreams came true when she opened the business that would become Course Correct. In the interim, she held administrative and managerial roles in the financial services and holistic healthcare industries. She also leads a double-life as a tax preparer.
Katy currently lives in Calgary, Alberta, with her wife, Cheryl. Her favourite things include herb gardening, impressing her mother-in-law with her attempts at preparing Japanese food, Glengarioch scotch, and traveling (she can often be found in the Canadian Rockies or the PacNW – #westcoastbestcoast).
